Why We Built This Site
Georgia gives the public broad access to court and government records under the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. 50-18-70, with exemptions and access limits under O.C.G.A. 50-18-72 and other court-specific rules. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. The Tift County Clerk of Court handles Superior and State Court records. Probate Court handles estates, wills, marriage licenses, and guardianship matters. The Sheriff manages jail and law-enforcement records, while the City of Tifton Municipal Court handles city traffic, ordinance, and some misdemeanor cases. We pull together contact details, search portals, fee notes, and request steps for each route.

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Georgia court, Tift County clerk's office, sheriff's office, municipal court, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
